The Toronto Real Estate market is the hottest it has ever been with 5,173 reported homes sold for the month of January. This is up 13 per cent over last January and beats the previous record for January 2002 of 4,869 homes sold.
This pushed Toronto Real Estate average prices to an all-time high of $353,724. In response to these numbers the Toronto Real Estate Board president said, "While one shouldn't read too much into a single month's result, January's record breaking performance is an encouraging sign for the year ahead."
Central Toronto's hottest selling district was C01 (bounded by Dufferin, Bloor, and Yonge) which reported 203 sales and an average price of $326,811.
